FIT Pantanal 2026 in Mato Grosso attracts over 30,000 visitors, highlights local culture and tourism

The 33rd FIT Pantanal tourism fair was held from June 3‑7 2025 in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, positioning itself as the largest tourism and business event for Brazil’s North and Central‑West regions. More than 50 municipalities and representatives from 11 states participated, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to a five‑day program of cultural performances, artisan exhibitions and agriculture‑family showcases.

Booths from Várzea Grande and Lucas do Rio Verde each welcomed large crowds, with the former reporting over 30,000 attendees and the latter estimating more than 40,000 visitors. Local cultural groups performed traditional dances, music and culinary displays, while artisans and family farmers used the venue to expand market reach, report strong sales and secure new business contacts.

State officials highlighted the fair’s economic impact. Development‑Economic Secretary Mayran Beckman praised Várzea Grande’s strategic location and infrastructure, while Governor Otaviano Pivetta noted tourism’s 11 % growth in early 2025 and its role in generating employment and regional development. The event’s “Conexão Turismo” program facilitated knowledge exchange among states, reinforcing the fair’s role as a national hub for tourism promotion and commerce.
