Várzea Grande expands cemetery access in Souza Lima

The City Hall of Várzea Grande has issued Municipal Decree No. 106 to reorganize burial areas at the Recanto Parque Santa Cruz Cemetery, located in the Souza Lima District.

The new regulation divides the cemetery into two distinct zones. One area remains reserved exclusively for residents of the Souza Lima District, while a second area is now designated for residents from other regions of the municipality, provided they meet all legal, environmental, sanitary, and administrative requirements.

The Municipal Secretariat of Public Services and Urban Mobility will oversee the physical boundaries, ensure alignment with official maps, and manage administrative records. The decree, which was published in the Electronic Official Journal of the Municipalities of the State of Mato Grosso, revokes a previous 2016 decree and ensures that all existing burials and established rights remain preserved.
