Várzea Grande Mayor receives pilgrim image of Our Lady Aparecida
Várzea Grande Mayor Flávia Moretti participated in religious activities following the arrival of the pilgrim image of Our Lady Aparecida at Marechal Rondon International Airport. The image arrived from Aparecida de Goiânia to take part in the Alegrai-vos program, organized by the Archdiocese of Cuiabá.
Accompanied by Municipal Secretary of Strategic Affairs Inaciary Ramos, the mayor received the image and offered prayers for the protection of the city's population. The religious itinerary included a mass at the São João Parish in the Cidade Alta neighborhood and participation in the Alegrai-vos event at the Centro de Eventos do Pantanal in Cuiabá.
On Sunday, the mayor attended a service at the National Baptist Church (IBN) in the Cristo Rei neighborhood and participated in the Archdiocesan Congress of Catholic Charismatic Renewal held at the Fiotão Gymnasium in Várzea Grande.
