Várzea Grande receives health funding and mobile women's support unit
Mayor Flávia Moretti and municipal health officials announced that Várzea Grande will receive R$131,800 from the federal Pix Saúde program to restart construction of a Basic Health Unit and to prioritize primary‑care upgrades. The allocation is part of a national rollout that released R$577.2 million for 393 health‑infrastructure projects across Brazil.
The SER Família Mulher mobile unit “Van Rosa” returned to the city on 15 June, offering counseling, legal guidance and psychosocial support to women facing domestic violence. Coordinated by the state Secretariat of Social Assistance, the van will operate at four health sites through 18 June, providing information on the program, rental assistance and individual consultations.
