Várzea Grande reduces education selection fees and announces 2027 exam
The Várzea Grande municipal government has announced several updates regarding the 2027 Simplified Selection Process (PSS) for Basic Education professionals. Following public demand, Mayor Flávia Moretti and the Secretary of Education, Maria Fernanda Figueiredo, coordinated with the organizing institution, Instituto Selecon, to reduce registration fees. The new rates are set at R$ 75 for medium-level positions and R$ 85 for higher-level positions.
Additionally, the administration established a minimum passing score of 50% for classification. To assist candidates, the Municipal Secretariat of Education, Culture, Sport, and Leisure (SMECEL) has released a digital Candidate Guide to clarify the stages and procedures of the selection process. The city also announced plans to hold a permanent public civil service exam for the municipal education network in 2027.
