Várzea Grande school uses recyclable games to teach math

Teachers Ana Paula and Eonice at the EMEB Ary Leite de Campos municipal school in Várzea Grande have implemented a pedagogical project using recyclable materials to teach mathematics to early childhood students.

By creating color games and boards from cardboard, soda bottle caps, and egg cartons, the educators aim to stimulate logical reasoning, concentration, creativity, and problem-solving skills. School director Leocy Lima noted that the initiative uses playful and participatory strategies to move learning beyond traditional exercises, helping children connect mathematical concepts to their daily lives through interaction and curiosity.
