Várzea Grande schools launch environmental contest

The Mato Grosso Military Fire Department has launched the sixth edition of an environmental cultural contest involving ten municipal schools in Várzea Grande. The initiative focuses on wildfire prevention, specifically targeting urban and forest fires.

Students will participate by creating comic books based on the theme “I don’t start fires, don’t start them either.” The project aims to engage younger generations in environmental preservation and turn students into advocates for ecological best practices. The production period for the entries runs from October 5 to October 23.
