Várzea Grande students win FETRAN 2026 youth theater category
Students from EMEB Professor Paulo Freire in Várzea Grande were honored by Mayor Flávia Moretti after winning the youth category at the 21st edition of the FETRAN 2026 (Festival Estudantil Temático Teatro para o Trânsito).
The students, who are part of the Projeto ETA (Escola de Tempo Ampliado), performed the play ‘O Circo no Trânsito: Sua Conta Está no Vermelho’. The production uses theater to educate audiences about traffic safety and responsibility.
During the meeting, Mayor Moretti noted that the Projeto ETA program has expanded under her administration, growing from 33 to 42 municipal schools, with plans for further growth to support student development.
