Várzea Paulista launches oral cancer prevention week

Várzea Paulista is conducting its first Oral Cancer Prevention Week, offering free preventive evaluations at all Basic Health Units (UBS) in the city. The initiative aims to facilitate early detection of lesions to increase cure rates.

Dental professionals are conducting quick, painless examinations to identify risks, particularly for smokers or users of dental prostheses. The program focuses on identifying wounds, spots, or lumps that have not healed for more than 15 days, as these may require further investigation to prevent the development of tumors.
