Vsetín opens new modern bus station and transport hub

The city of Vsetín has officially opened its new modern bus station, marking the conclusion of a five-year urban transformation project. The new transport hub integrates rail, bus, automotive, and pedestrian traffic, allowing passengers to transfer directly between trains and buses at a shared platform.

The bus station construction itself cost over 200 million CZK, supported by European subsidies and regional road administration funds. This project is part of a much larger infrastructure overhaul in the city center involving the railway station and surrounding areas, with total investments in the locality reaching approximately 4 billion CZK when including private developments.

In addition to the transport improvements, the project includes reconstructed streets, new cycling infrastructure, and the opening of the Josef Sousedík educational trail, which commemorates a local industrialist and inventor.
