Vsetín to host sixth annual Sports Day for youth

The city of Vsetín is hosting its sixth annual Sports Day on September 2, 2026, at the Základní školy Trávníky area. The event, running from 9:00 to 17:00, aims to motivate youth toward physical activity and allow local sports organizations to showcase their programs.

Participants can trial various activities under professional supervision, including ice hockey, football, tennis, gymnastics, karate, and chess. Local clubs will host stations where children can try sports and learn how to enroll. To protect athletic tracks, organizers require visitors to wear sports footwear and prohibit animals from entering the premises.

The program also features cultural elements, including performances by the Vsetín folklore groups Jasénka and Vsacan, and food services provided by local vendors.
