Carl Lindbom suffers injury during AHL match

Swedish goaltender Carl Lindbom was forced to leave his AHL game against the Ontario Reign due to an injury. The 23-year-old, who recently earned praise for recording his first shutout of the season, collided with Henderson Silver Knights player Joe Hicketts during the second period.

Despite the collision, Lindbom attempted to save a penalty before being unable to return for the third period. Coach Joel Ward described Lindbom as the team’s “backbone,” noting his critical role in the team's goaltending performance thus far this season. Updates regarding the severity of the injury are still pending.
