VSL PowerHive launches P261 liquid-cooled battery storage system

VSL PowerHive, the energy storage division of Vikram Solar, has officially launched its first product, the P261. This 125 kW/261 kWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) is designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications in India and international markets.

The P261 utilizes lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology with a nominal voltage of 832V. It features a compact, single-cabinet design and a liquid cooling system intended to maintain cell health and extend battery life. The system is engineered to support various functions, including peak-load management, solar energy storage, backup power, EV charging, and microgrid applications.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the unit carries an IP52S rating for dust and water protection and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C. It includes an integrated energy management system for real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics, alongside fire suppression and multi-layer protection against thermal events and short circuits.
