Västerås SK hosts Mjällby AIF in Allsvenskan fixture

Västerås SK hosts Mjällby AIF at the Hitachi Energy Arena in an Allsvenskan fixture. The match serves as a pink-themed event, with Västerås SK wearing pink jerseys to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Association. Over 5,000 spectators have already secured tickets.

Mjällby, the previous season's Swedish champions, has struggled recently and has not won a league match since August 15. Following the departure of Karl Marius Aksum in September, Andreas Brännström has taken over as head coach. While Mjällby has faced a difficult run in the league, they recently secured a victory in the Conference League against Inter Club d’Escaldes.

Västerås SK enters the match following a 0-1 loss to IFK Göteborg. Due to a red card, Elis Jäger is suspended, allowing Anton Fagerström to participate in what would be his 200th match. Västerås coach Alexander Rubin noted that despite Mjällby's recent slump, they maintain a strong defensive structure and offensive potential.
