VTV Nam Bo and Thanh Nien to host charity program for COVID-19 orphans

VTV Nam Bo and Thanh Nien Newspaper are co-organizing the 2026 charity arts program ‘Nghia tinh Phuong Nam - Cung con di tiep cuoc doi’. The event marks the five-year anniversary of the ‘Cung con di tiep cuoc doi’ initiative, which provides long-term support and guardianship for children orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program is scheduled to take place at 8:10 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Ly Thai To Park in Ho Chi Minh City. It will be a 90-minute live broadcast designed to connect the community, businesses, and philanthropists to support children in their journey toward adulthood.

Over the past five years, the initiative has provided significant aid, including over 4.3 billion VND in emergency support and gifts to more than 2,200 children, and over 60.8 billion VND in long-term guardianship for 550 orphans. The program also provides scholarships and vocational training for students. Numerous artists, including Dam Vinh Hung, Quang Dung, and Vo Ha Tram, are participating to spread messages of compassion and hope.
