The upcoming VTV prime-time drama ‘Xom Nho’ (Small Neighborhood), directed by Bui Quoc Viet, is scheduled to premiere on October 21. The series marks the reunion of young actors Le Luu Ly and Ha Thanh, who previously appeared together in ‘Mua He Nam Ay’.
The story follows Tram, a rebellious 19-year-old played by Le Luu Ly, who moves from Hai Phong to Hanoi to seek independence after conflicts with her father. After facing financial difficulties, she settles into a low-income boarding house area where she meets Phong, a blunt freelance photographer played by Ha Thanh. The plot focuses on their transition from accidental roommates and frequent rivals to a romantic couple.
Due to its plot similarities to the 2021 hit ‘11 Thang 5 Ngay’—specifically involving a rebellious daughter moving to a boarding house and a father who secretly watches over her—the new series has already drawn comparisons from viewers.
