Vítězslav Marek funeral attended by Vojta Dyk

The funeral for Vítězslav Marek, a prominent Czech jazz trumpeter and swing guitarist, was held at the Strašnice crematorium. Marek was a long-time collaborator with Ivan Mládek’s Banjo Band and was highly regarded in the Czech jazz scene.

Among the attendees was musician and actor Vojta Dyk, who attended with his wife Tatiana and son Lojzík. Dyk, who is the nephew of the deceased, was visibly emotional during the ceremony. The service featured a live band, and a floral tribute in the shape of a guitar was presented to honor Marek’s musical career.
