Vueling flight makes emergency landing in Tenerife due to landing gear fault

A Vueling flight traveling from Barcelona to Tenerife North (Los Rodeos) airport triggered an emergency plan on Tuesday morning, October 27, following a technical issue with its landing gear.

While some initial reports suggested the aircraft attempted a belly landing without any gear deployed, local media and Aena sources indicated the fault involved a locked steering system or braking issues. The aircraft circled the airport for approximately 30 minutes before touching down safely at 10:02 local time.

The plane was surrounded by emergency services upon landing and subsequently towed to a safe area on the tarmac. No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew. The incident caused minor disruptions to airport operations, including a temporary closure of the runway and slight delays for other flights.
