Vueling to launch new Granada‑Bilbao and Granada‑Valencia routes as part of expansion

Spain’s Granada provincial tourism board awarded Vueling a three‑year contract to operate direct flights from Granada‑Jaén Airport to Bilbao and Valencia, with services slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The agreement provides 104 annual frequencies on the Bilbao route and 82 on the Valencia route, aiming to boost tourism and regional connectivity, according to Granada Diputación president Francis Rodríguez.

Separately, Vueling announced its winter schedule, adding over 1.5 million seats and introducing four new Italian destinations from Bilbao, plus a second daily London‑Heathrow flight. The carrier will also restore the Bilbao‑Granada link and increase capacity on several domestic routes, reflecting its broader ‘Rumbo 2035’ growth plan.
