Vuelta a Colombia 2026 canceled following earthquake
The 76th edition of the Vuelta a Colombia 2026 has been prematurely concluded following a recent earthquake in the country. Authorities and the Colombian Cycling Federation decided to cancel the sixth stage to ensure that strategic road corridors connecting the departments of Caldas, Antioquia, and Risaralda remain available for emergency services, passenger transport, and the movement of goods.
As a result of the early termination, the final standings were determined based on the results accumulated during the first five stages. Diego Camargo, representing Team Medellín-EPM, was crowned the national champion. Édgar Andrés Pinzón of Team Sistecrédito secured third place in the general classification.
