Vuelta a España officials issue fines to Primoz Roglic and team staff

During the Vuelta a España, race officials have issued several fines and penalties following rule violations. In stage 15, Primoz Roglic was fined 200 Swiss francs for an irregular feeding violation involving a bidon. His team director, Sven Vanthourenhout, received a higher fine of 500 Swiss francs for the same infraction.

Other penalties throughout the race included fines for team directors and riders regarding improper feeding zones and littering. For instance, during stage 12, multiple team directors and riders were fined for receiving supplies in unauthorized areas. Additionally, five riders, including race leader Enric Mas, were penalized with 500 franc fines and 25 UCI points for discarding waste outside of designated zones.

In stage 14, a mechanic from Uno-X Mobility received a yellow card for improper feeding procedures. Meanwhile, the UCI reported that 35 bicycles were inspected for technical fraud, all of which were found to be compliant with regulations.
