Vuelta a Guatemala 2026 cycling race details and team updates

The 65th edition of the Vuelta Ciclística Internacional a Guatemala is scheduled to take place from October 23 to November 1, 2026. The competition will feature over 100 cyclists representing 19 teams, including 10 national and 9 international squads, covering a total distance of approximately 1,447 kilometers across ten stages.

A key highlight of this year's route is the eighth stage on October 30, a 22.6-kilometer uphill time trial (cronoescalada) running from San Juan La Laguna to Pamezabal in Sololá. This stage, set against the backdrop of Lake Atitlán, is expected to be a decisive factor in the general classification.

In recent developments, the Ecuadorian team Best PC Ecuador announced its withdrawal from the event just days before the start. The team cited medical unavailability due to respiratory issues and injuries sustained in previous races, noting that potential substitutes lacked the necessary visas to enter Guatemala.
