Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote set for October 2026

The third edition of the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote is scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2026. Organized by Club La Santa, this non-competitive event is included in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) ‘Cycling for All’ calendar, emphasizing camaraderie and recreational riding.

The 189-kilometer route will traverse all seven municipalities of Lanzarote. The first stage on Saturday covers 115 kilometers from Club La Santa to Puerto del Carmen, passing the Famara coast. The second stage on Sunday covers 74 kilometers from Puerto del Carmen back to Club La Santa, traveling through the La Geria vineyards and the Timanfaya National Park lava flows.

Prominent cyclists including Carlos Verona, Lourdes Oyarbide, Luis Pasamontes, and Omar Fraile, along with pilot Aleix Espargaró, are confirmed to participate. The event will also feature a charitable initiative known as the ‘tramo Gregario’ in San Bartolomé, where funds will be donated to a cause following a regrouping at Castillo San José.

Local tourism data indicates the growing importance of the sport, noting that over 185,000 people practiced cycling in Lanzarote in 2025.
