Aleksandar Vučić Reflects on Tenure and Upcoming Elections Amid Serbian Political Tensions

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said media in Montenegro played a "significant role" in a "colored revolution" targeting Serbia, describing it as a hybrid war. He reflected on his term, noting challenges such as floods, a migrant crisis, the COVID‑19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and Kosovo talks. Vučić expressed partial satisfaction with infrastructure projects, new factories, tech parks, wage growth, a stable dinar and low public debt, but admitted he had not shown enough care for ordinary citizens. He said future generations would judge his legacy.

Vučić also addressed the upcoming elections, stating he feels no fear and that the public’s will differs from a year ago. Opposition leader Srđan Milivojević claimed Vućić is avoiding elections, calling for a referendum and accusing the ruling party of mafia control. Meanwhile, SNS president Miloš Vučević began a political tour of Vojvodina, meeting residents in Srbobran and other towns to discuss jobs, local development, infrastructure, security and stability.
