Vulcan Invitational: California (PA) men win while Adelphi women finish third

The Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course saw successful season openers for both the California University of Pennsylvania men's golf team and the Adelphi University women's golf team.

The California (PA) men's team secured a victory in the weather-shortened event, finishing 12 strokes ahead of second-place West Liberty with a total score of nine-under 567. Senior Gavin Goodrich earned medalist honors with a seven-under 137, while freshman Brady Newman placed second in his collegiate debut.

In the women's competition, Adelphi University finished in third place with a team score of 69-over. Nikola Truhlarova led the Panthers with an individual third-place finish at five-over. Filippa Schulze Doering also placed in the top 10, tying for sixth at nine-over.
