Vulgar Mephitis releases new single “To Dust” ahead of debut album

Pittsburgh‑based brutal death metal band Vulgar Mephitis premiered the single “To Dust,” the second track from their forthcoming debut album From Dust. The song was streamed via No Clean Singing and described as “wild, wide‑ranging, and discordant.”

From Dust is scheduled for release on 11 September 2026 through Willowtip Records and will be available on CD, vinyl LP and digital formats. The album’s eight‑track listing includes “From Dust,” “Martyr,” “Exterminating Profane,” “Peer Into The Abyss,” “Scorn Of My Flesh,” “Gorging Greed,” “To Dust” and “Wounds.” Artwork was created by Leon Humphrey of Theosis Design. Recent lineup changes added guitarist Dan Martin and drummer Nick Bentzel, expanding the band’s songwriting approach.

The release follows the band’s 2022 self‑titled EP and is promoted through the band’s social‑media channels and Willowtip’s online store.
