Vulkam inaugurates Europe's first amorphous metal production plant

Vulkam has inaugurated its first industrial plant in Isère, France, dedicated to the production of amorphous metal components known as Vulkalloys®. This facility represents the first European technological platform capable of the industrial-scale production of these next-generation materials.

The plant is the result of nearly ten years of research and development and follows a €34 million fundraising round in 2024. The project involved a total investment of over €15 million, with significant funding from Bpifrance via the France 2030 program, alongside several private investors including Supernova Invest and BNP Paribas Développement.

Spanning 2,600 square meters, the facility is designed to produce up to 2 million parts per year on its initial production line. The materials produced are intended for high-performance sectors, including aerospace, defense, medical technology, microtechnology, watchmaking, and space industries.
