Vietnam has announced several high-level political appointments. In Quảng Trị province, the Politburo has appointed Vương Quốc Tuấn, formerly the Chairman of Thái Nguyên province, as the new Provincial Party Secretary for the 2025–2030 term. Additionally, Bùi Hoàng Phương, previously the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Trị Provincial Party Committee and introduced for election as the Chairman of the Quảng Trị Provincial People's Committee.

Upon assuming his new role, Vương Quốc Tuấn requested that local agencies and organizations refrain from organizing formal delegations to present flowers or congratulatory visits, citing a desire to practice thrift and avoid waste. He emphasized that support should instead be demonstrated through the effective implementation of political tasks.

Other notable personnel changes include the appointment of Nguyễn Sĩ Hiệp as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hải Phòng City Party Committee and the appointment of Lê Hồng Vinh as Deputy Minister of Construction. In Hải Phòng, Thượng tá Nguyễn Văn Đức has been appointed Deputy Director of the Hải Phòng Public Security and seconded to the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Board.
