Vyškov charity run raises over 500,000 CZK for Nelinka

Hundreds of participants gathered in Vyškov for the ninth annual ‘Běhám a pomáhám’ (I Run and Help) charity event. The program included children's races on tracks ranging from 25 to 800 meters, followed by a 5.4-kilometer adult race starting from Masaryk Square.

The event was organized to support Nelinka, a nine-year-old girl from Bučovice. Nelinka was born with a cleft palate and total deafness, and later faced brain hemorrhaging and psychomotor development issues. While she has made progress through intensive rehabilitation, she requires ongoing medical care, orthotics, and specialized equipment.

Organizers reported that the event has already raised at least 500,000 CZK. Contributions can continue to be made via a transparent account until October 15.
