Czech Republic and Slovakia host autumn wine and cultural festivals
Various regions across the Czech Republic and Slovakia are hosting a wide array of autumn cultural and gastronomic festivals. A major theme is the wine harvest season, with prominent celebrations including the historical wine festivals in Znojmo, Mělník, Litoměřice, and Kuks, as well as several wine harvest events in Prague such as those at St. Clare’s Vineyard and the Prague Castle. These events typically feature wine tastings, burčák, live music, and historical parades.
Other notable activities include the Bezručova Opava festival, the Táborská setkání historical festival featuring Hussite processions, and various local fairs such as the harvest festivals in Semily and Žďár nad Sázavou. Cultural programming also extends to theater seasons, such as the Slovácké divadlo 2027 subscription launch, and specialized markets like the pottery fairs in Beroun. Family-oriented events, including the 50th anniversary of the Igráček toy at Loučeň Castle and various dinosaur-themed programs, are also scheduled throughout the weekend.
