Vytautas Magnus University partners with Google for Education

Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) has become one of the first higher education institutions in the Baltic states to establish a partnership with Google for Education. This collaboration provides all VDU students and staff with free access to artificial intelligence tools, specifically ‘Gemini for Education’ and ‘Gemini Notebook’, featuring high-level data protection.

The initiative, which began as a pilot within the VDU Faculty of Economics and Management, has now expanded to the entire university community. In addition to providing tool access, the partnership includes training for university employees to ensure proficient and responsible use of AI in teaching, research, and daily operations.

University Rector Professor Ineta Dabašinskienė stated that the partnership allows VDU to adopt practices used by leading global institutions like MIT, positioning the university at the forefront of technological integration in the Baltic region.
