Waalwijk: 91-year-old woman injured in parking lot collision

A 91-year-old woman sustained head injuries following a collision with a passenger car at a Nettorama supermarket parking lot in Waalwijk on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred around 14:50 while the woman was crossing the parking lot toward a glass recycling bin after leaving the store.

Emergency medical services treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to a hospital for further treatment. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, involving the Traffic Accident Analysis (VOA) unit. The parking lot was temporarily closed to new traffic to allow for the investigation.

Reports indicate that the driver involved in the collision had been involved in a separate, minor incident causing parking damage to another vehicle on the same lot shortly before the accident. It is currently unknown if there is a connection between the two incidents.
