Wacker Chemie AG, a German specialty chemicals and biotechnology company, has established a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune, India, in partnership with IT services provider HCLTech. The center is intended to bolster Wacker’s engineering, IT, and digital transformation capabilities.

The facility aims to provide a flexible and resilient delivery platform to support the company’s global technology requirements and digital modernization initiatives. HCLTech will utilize its expertise in automation and DevSecOps to help scale the center, develop a high-performing workforce, and strengthen governance frameworks.
