Wackersdorf to receive new pulmonology specialist

Dr. Manuel Klein is set to open a private pulmonology practice in Wackersdorf in early January 2027. This new medical facility aims to address a long-standing gap in specialized respiratory care within the Schwandorf district.

Currently practicing at a group practice in Amberg, Dr. Klein specializes in rare lung diseases. Previously, patients in the Wackersdorf and Schwandorf areas often had to travel to Amberg, Regensburg, or other cities for specialized pulmonary treatment. Dr. Klein cited the location, transport links, and the collaborative local medical community as key reasons for choosing Wackersdorf for his independent practice.
