Wade Bowen releases eleventh studio album ‘The Version Of Me You Get’

Texas country singer-songwriter Wade Bowen has released his eleventh studio album, ‘The Version Of Me You Get’, via Thirty Tigers. The 10-track collection was originally recorded in 2020 during the pandemic alongside producer Sean McConnell.

The recording period was marked by personal hardship for Bowen, including the loss of his nephew and vocal issues that prevented him from performing. Although the songs were recorded during a raw and difficult chapter, Bowen initially chose to shelve the project.

Years later, following a period of personal reflection and professional change, Bowen revisited the tracks. McConnell remixed the recordings, leading to a release that leans into roots, soul, and a grittier sound than Bowen’s traditional country style. The album features the track ‘Weight On The Levee’ with Dan Tyminski.
