Wadersloh approves new residential development in Diestedde
The Wadersloh construction and planning committee has approved the urban development concept for a new residential district in Diestedde. The project, located on the former Don-Bosco site near Schloss Crassenstein, aims to create up to 88 housing units on approximately 42,500 square meters.
The planned residential mix includes 24 semi-detached houses, 11 detached single-family homes, and two-to-three-story apartment buildings designed to meet the local demand for smaller units. EUTEMA GmbH owns the property, and developer Nexus Development has stated that the overall financing for the project is secured.
A primary focus of the discussions involves balancing new residential living with existing sports, leisure, and event facilities in the immediate vicinity, such as the SV Diestedde sports grounds and the Schloss 6 event house. Noise assessments have been conducted to address concerns regarding the proximity of the new housing to these active recreational areas.
