Wadi Rum ranked as the world's best golden hour destination

Meteorologist Jim Dale of British Weather Services, in collaboration with tour operator Kuoni, has released a ranking of the world's best destinations for the ‘golden hour’. The study analyzed 165 locations based on specific environmental parameters, including cloud cover, precipitation, light pollution, artificial brightness, wind speed, and average sunset duration.

Wadi Rum in Jordan secured the top position due to its minimal cloud cover and nearly non-existent rainfall. Sossusvlei in Namibia ranked second, noted for its lack of light pollution and average sunset durations of approximately 27.9 minutes. Namibia also features prominently in the top six with Damaraland in third and Etosha National Park in sixth.

Other notable regions include Greece, which holds four spots in the final list, as well as Namibia, the United States, Australia, and Botswana. In Europe, the Acropolis of Lindos in Rhodes, Greece, was highlighted as a premier location for observing the golden hour.
