Wagner Magnete patents new technology for recycling industry

Wagner Magnete, a magnet specialist based in Heimertingen, Germany, has developed and patented a new procedure to address frequent equipment failures in the recycling industry. The company’s innovation focuses on non-ferrous separators, which are essential machines used to automatically sort metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass from various waste streams.

Traditionally, these machines utilized screw connections on the rotor jacket, which were prone to breaking and causing unplanned downtime and costly repairs. The new patented method replaces these screws with a flexible jacket clamping system. This system keeps the rotor tube securely in position even under extreme forces, thereby securing production processes and reducing maintenance requirements.
