Wagner Moura in talks to play villain in Ocean's Eleven prequel

Brazilian actor Wagner Moura is reportedly negotiating to join Warner Bros.' untitled prequel to the "Ocean's Eleven" franchise as the main antagonist. The film will also star Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper, with Cooper directing, starring and co‑producing alongside Robbie's LuckyChap banner. Set against the backdrop of the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix, the story will focus on the parents of Danny Ocean, portraying an early chapter of the notorious heist family. Production is slated to begin in late July, shooting first in Paris before moving to the south of France, with a theatrical release scheduled for June 25, 2027. Moura, an Oscar‑nominated Brazilian talent known for "Narcos" and "The Secret Agent," would join the ensemble following his recent international accolades.
