Waidhaus celebrates 700th anniversary of St. Emmeram parish

The St. Emmeram parish in Waidhaus celebrated its 700th anniversary with a star pilgrimage and a festive pontifical service. The event marked seven centuries since the first documented mention of the parish.

Pilgrims from surrounding areas, including Eslarn, Moosbach, Pleystein, Burkhardsrieth, and Miesbrunn, joined the procession. The celebration included music from the Großen Vereinorchester and was led by Bishop Dr. Rudolf Voderholzer. The gathering served as a symbol of unity and cooperation between the various local parishes.
