Waidhaus: Roadwork on NEW 50 to cause three-week closure
The State Construction Office Amberg-Sulzbach has announced that roadwork on the NEW 50 district road west of Waidhaus will begin on Monday, August 24. The project involves renovating approximately 900 meters of damaged roadway, improving drainage systems, and reconstructing road shoulders.
The construction is expected to last about three weeks, during which the section between Zengerhof and Waidhaus will be fully closed. Detours will be available via State Road 2154 and district roads NEW 33 and NEW 32 through Hagendorf, Miesbrunn, and Pleystein to Lohma, with an additional bypass option via the A6 motorway. Access to the Hörlmühle and Marxmühle properties may be restricted from the west for certain days.
The project, funded by the District of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, is estimated to cost approximately 350,000 euros.
