Wailulu Village seeks aid after wildfires destroy crops

Residents of Wailulu Village in Central Maluku are seeking government assistance following prolonged wildfires that have destroyed vital agricultural assets. Muslim Tounussa, the head of the Wailulu Village government, has requested that the government provide more than just fire suppression support. He emphasized the need for agricultural aid, specifically requesting seeds for clove, nutmeg, chocolate, and coconut plants to help residents restore their productive plantations. Local residents have been monitoring several locations, including Bukit Cinta and Kali Sala, to prevent the flames from spreading further.
