Waitrose recalls Rhubarb Crumble due to undeclared gluten

Waitrose has issued a recall for its Rhubarb Crumble due to undeclared ingredients. The 500g product contains oats, which present a gluten risk not listed on the packaging.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised consumers not to eat the product, noting it poses a health risk to individuals with oat or gluten allergies and intolerances, including those with coeliac disease. The affected item has a use-by date of August 19, 2026, and carries instructions for home freezing.

Waitrose has apologized for the inconvenience and is instructing customers to return the product to the store of purchase for a full refund.
