Wakefield Trinity tops 2026 Super League club grading rankings
Wakefield Trinity has reached the top of the 2026 Super League club grading rankings with a score of 17.85, matching a record previously set by Hull KR. This rise follows the club's success in the Super League Grand Final, moving them from eighth place in the previous year's assessment to the summit of the rankings.
The annual ratings, formulated by IMG, evaluate clubs based on five pillars: fan experience, finance, stadium, community, and on-field performance. A recent change to the grading system increased the weight of the performance pillar, which has led to score improvements for many clubs.
Other notable shifts in the standings include Leeds Rhinos in second place and Warrington Wolves in third. Conversely, Hull KR and St Helens saw drops in their rankings. The grading framework ensures that all fourteen Super League clubs will remain in the top-tier competition for the 2027 season.
