Wakkanai Peace Marathon announces 2026 pace runners

The organizers of the Wakkanai Peace Marathon have announced the pace runners for the 2026 event, scheduled for September 6, 2026. The race will start at Cape Soya and conclude at the Wakkanai Port North Breakwater Dome.

AC Hokkaido will serve as the pace runners for the event, marking their seventh year of participation since the marathon's inception in 2018. The designated runners include Kenji Kanauchi and Yuki Makino for the sub-3-hour category, Tatsuki Shimaya and Ryota Tanaka for the sub-3:15 category, Kazuki Yamanaka and Toru Sakuta for the sub-3:30 category, and Yodai Ichimachi and Atsushi Kodama for the sub-4-hour category.
