Travelers are exploring the northernmost regions of Hokkaido, Japan, utilizing local bus and rail services to visit landmarks such as Soya Misaki and Yuchi Station.

One route involves taking a local bus from Sarufutsu Park to Soya Misaki, passing through the Soya Hills and coastal areas. Notable sites include the Soya Misaki Lighthouse, the northernmost elementary school, and various monuments. Travelers noted changes in bus schedules, specifically a reduction in service frequency compared to previous years.

Another route utilizes the Soya Main Line to visit Yuchi Station, known for its unique freight car station building. The journey includes stops at Minami-Wakkanai and Numbai stations, the latter of which is scheduled for discontinuation in March 2025. The rail journey offers views of the Soya Hills and the coastline toward Wakkanai.
