Walbridge launches L5 Mission Critical for data center services

Walbridge has launched L5 Mission Critical, a new company based in Chicago designed to provide comprehensive data center services. The venture aims to address rising demand for data center capacity, which is projected to double in the United States within three years.

Matt Landek, formerly the Global President of JLL’s Data Center and Critical Environments, has been appointed as the first President and CEO of L5 Mission Critical. The company’s service offerings will span the entire lifecycle of data center operations, including commissioning, site readiness, project management, retrofits, and steady-state critical operations.

By focusing on ‘Day-2’ operations—such as operational security, SLA management, and continuous environmental monitoring—the company intends to move beyond simple construction to provide specialized management for enterprise facilities and gigawatt-scale campuses.
