Waldemar Wrona joins Law and Justice club in Świętokrzyskie

Waldemar Wrona, a regional councilor in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Sejmik, has officially joined the Law and Justice (PiS) club. Wrona, who ran in the 2024 local elections on the Civic Coalition (KO) lists, had previously resigned from the KO councilor club on August 17.

While Wrona was never a formal member of the Civic Coalition party, his departure follows a period of tension. In June 2024, he was the sole opposition representative to support a vote of confidence for the PiS-led regional board, an act the Civic Coalition viewed as a breach of club discipline. Wrona indicated that he felt marginalized within the KO club.

Law and Justice officials, including Anna Krupka and Grzegorz Socha, welcomed the move, stating it strengthens their position in the regional assembly. PiS currently holds the largest club in the Sejmik with 17 councilors, followed by Third Way with seven and Civic Coalition with five.
