Waldsassen to host autumn and harvest market on September 6
The town of Waldsassen will host its autumn and harvest market on September 6 at Johannisplatz. The event is part of a series of four annual fairs held in the monastery town, which includes the Josefi-Markt, the Walburgismarkt, and the upcoming Markttag zu Maximilian on October 18.
Despite challenges posed by increased online retail, the town continues to maintain these traditional markets. The upcoming fair will feature seasonal offerings such as flowers, fruit, vegetables, basketware, clothing, and fashion accessories. Culinary options will include fish, spice specialties, and various sweets. Local retailers, including the Klei shop and the Kleiderwald, are also expected to participate.
