Wale expresses frustration with music industry in deleted posts

Rapper Wale, also known as Ralph Folarin, recently shared a series of personal reflections on social media regarding the pressures of the music industry before deleting the posts. In the messages, the 42-year-old artist described the industry as a ‘rat race on a hamster wheel’ and expressed difficulty in maintaining a healthy perspective on life while navigating fame.

Folarin noted the instability of the profession, citing the constant cycle of praise and criticism, as well as the difficulty of maintaining genuine friendships. Despite these frustrations, he has since indicated that he is continuing to work on new music following the acclaim for his eighth studio album, ‘everything is a lot’.
